al-Qaida + ACLU = The Destruction of America

The ACLU is bent on the destruction of America and it is now time to join together and bid them farewell before they are allowed to take what is left of the few freedoms we still have remaining! They stand against everything which is right and good for our country and the ACLU must be stopped NOW!!!

COMMENTARY: ACLU masquerades as defenders of equality

The American Civil Liberties Union reminds me a lot of a turbulent flight that I had from St. Louis to Hartford once; it makes me nauseous. They have gone beyond the bounds of all reason in their assault on anyone or anything which does not fall in line with their agenda. While posing as an organization designed to protect the civil rights of all Americans, they have actively eroded the rights of anyone who does not partake of their views.
Of course the ACLU is not alone, in the bluest of the blue states, like California they get a lot of help from activist judges who support their particular slant on civil rights. The furor over the cross which stands in the Mojave National Preserve is a prime example. With any luck it will soon stand on private land out of reach of the ideologues at the ACLU, but that doesn't make them hate it any less.
The cross is not a new landmark by any stretch of the imagination. The history of it dates back to 1934 when it was placed there to honor those who were killed in World War I. The cross is something I haven't actually seen, and neither probably have you. While I enjoy leisure time exploring the desert, it is an area so remote that most people will never see it; still it manages to offend the ACLU.
Despite the cross' honorable beginnings and remote location it has sent the parasitic lawyers at the ACLU into a frenzy. In order to understand their frenzy you have to understand that they see the Constitution of the United States as they want it to be, not as it is written. They believe that the first amendment spells out the old "separation of church and state," and many judges go along with them. The truth is that Constitution only prevents the government from establishing or banning religion; it does not state that the government must be devoid of it. Those on the far left pretend that it does, and continue to sue based upon their ideological falsehood. Unbelievably, they keep on winning.
Further examination reveals the anti-Christian and hypocritical nature of this radical group. Their own website (www.aclu-sc.org) contains a docket of their current cases. At the top of the list of their secular crusades are their "Church/State" cases. The first one listed is a "challenge to a permanent, explicitly sectarian, religious display on federal land of a Latin cross erected in the Mojave National Preserve."
So Representative Jerry Lewis, in the interest of his constituents, put together a deal to save the cross. Since the ACLU had won a court decision that barred the cross from federal land, he began a process through which land the land that contained the cross became the property of the Barstow VFW. The fact that the ACLU is not happy with this settlement is clear evidence that they don't just want the cross off of federal land, they want it gone period.
The alleged civil liberties union is, at the same time, suing Cal State Long Beach because it plans to erect a mini-mall on land that is believed to have been the site of the birth of a Native American god. They seem determined to protect the religious interests of the Native Americans who still, the ACLU claims, pray at the site. I'm aghast, because it sounds to me as if the ACLU is willing to fight to protect one religion while fighting against another. Of course the parasites at the ACLU will claim that I'm wrong. They will say that the heart of the issue is the cross' place on federal land; but the compromise to move the cross, and their reaction to it says all you need to know about the group.
I understand that the ACLU is busy fighting for justice in the interest of groups like the Orange Country Dyke March, who are upset because they were denied a parade permit by the city of Costa Mesa. They are suing a security company in Los Angeles because its guards try to keep homeless people away from various retail stores. Airlines are being sued for removing some passengers from planes, because the ACLU alleges race discrimination.
While the ACLU is suing the City of Los Angeles for the way that it arrested and detained violent protesters during the 2000 Democratic National Convention, it is also suing Operation Rescue. Operation Rescue protests outside of abortion clinics. Could the ACLU be more transparent? Protesters whom they agree with receive their benevolent legal help, and the ones they disagree with are actually subject to their endless legal harassment.
The ACLU has continued to harass the Boy Scouts because the group does not allow gay scout leaders. By this logic the ACLU should further be suing the Girl Scouts on behalf of straight men who want to go on camping trips with young women. The idea that the Boy Scouts' policy is anti-gay is ludicrous; unless the Girl Scouts' are anti-straight that is.
One single, simple white cross standing in the Mojave, where almost no one will ever see it has become a great symbol. Not just a memorial for those who died defending liberty, but also a beacon of truth. For all of their posturing, legalese, and nonsense-talk about equality, the ACLU is as single-minded as any other radical group with an agenda. If they truly believed in the letter of the law, as they see it, then Representative Lewis' compromise would have brought the controversy to a close; but they don't. They believe in their own agenda, and they should be ashamed of themselves for continuing to masquerade as defenders of equality.
