Attended Macon Jr. College, CSTCC and Northwest Georgia Technical Institute. Graduated from McKenzie Business College in March 1983. Youngest daughter was born in 1983 in Chattanooga. Worked at Southern Cellulose from 1978 to 1998, then began working at UnumProvident in Chattanooga, TN from October 1998 to October 2004.
